The number one fashion event in Ondo state, FUTA Fashion week is set to hold in Akure, Ondo State capital between November 30 to December 2,2016. In a statement released by the organisers, this year’s edition has been themed, “Fashionpreneurship: Unveiling Tomorrow’s Fashion Icons”.
The event which is jointly put together by a selected team from the key online platforms in the Federal University of Technology, Akure ( FUTA) are; Futatoday.com, Futagramm, Futafashionpolice and the office of the Social Director, FUTA Students’ Union, FUTASU.
This is an initiative under FUTATODAY.COM PROJECT.
FUTA Fashion Week is created to critically address and proffer lasting solutions to national challenges and also make recommendations for sustainable socio-economic development creatively.
It aims at bringing fashionprenueurs and top professionals drawn out from the public and private sector together in a bid to encourage Nigeria students and to open up their eyes to the amazing opportunities in the ever fashion industry .
The event will also bring forth the diversity in fashion as it affects entrepreneurs, interactive panels on best practices as well as on the subjects of education, creative industry, ICT, youth, social development and media.
Keynote speakers billed to speak at the event are the guest speakers and panelists with different pragmatic discussions bordering on the economy, entrepreneurship and Fashion, among who are Abiodun Folawiyo, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Papa Omisore, Seun Logan, T.I Nathan, Bubu Ogisi, Tope Horpload, Emmanuel Oyeleke, Jane Michael Ekanem, Cassie Davies, Bimbo Oye- Akinnifesi (Reni Smith), Folu Ajayi and Fatanmi Victor.
