SupermarNG food recipes for the week:

1 Avocado Omelette

This is an anytime omelette! A quick grab for tight schedule and a perfect breakfast for vegetarians. It is best enjoyed when served hot and goes perfectly well with a cup of coffee. Trying this yourself is the best way to savor the goodness.

Ingredients

3 pcs eggs

1 pc avocado

1 pc spring onions

4 pcs red pepper

3 tbsp low fat milk

90 g cheddar cheese

Method

Peel the avocado and remove seed, chop then set aside. Also chop the pepper to fill ¼ cup, shred cheese to fill ½ cup, slice the onions to fill 1 tablespoon then set aside.

Whisk the eggs in a bowl, add 3 tablespoons of milk and whisk well.

Place a nonstick frying pan over medium low heat, pour the whisked egg mixture and allow to cook until top is set.

Add the shredded cheese and onions and allow to cook for about 2 minutes or until the cheese melts. Top with 1 tablespoon of chopped pepper and the avocado.

Fold over and serve immediately.

2 Benihana Japanese Fried Rice

This isn’t the regular fried rice, it’s Japanese. This meal is not only packed with vegetables, the eggs are there to give you the protein you need in a meal. It is an ideal meal that helps you stand out in your events. So get your ingredients ready!

Ingredients

1 cup rice

1 pc carrot

1 cup peas

1 pc onions

2 pcs eggs

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt

Method

Chop the onions and carrot to fill ½ cup and 1 tablespoon respectively. Beat the eggs and set aside.

Cook the rice in lightly salted water over medium heat for about 15 minutes or until tender. Drain the rice, put in bowl and allow to cool.

Scramble the egg in a sauce pan and separate into pea-size bits while cooking. Once the rice is cooled, add the carrot, onions, peas and scrambled eggs. Toss all the ingredients together.

Melt 1½ tablespoon of butter in a large sauce pan and add the rice and other ingredients into the sauce pan. Add the soy sauce, salt and pepper as desired.

Cook rice for about 7 minutes, stirring often.

Serve hot.

3 Chicken Noodles Stir Fry

This is super delish! Noodles are natural delight and with a combination of marinated fried chicken, the taste is heavenly. Easy to prepare and spicy enough to keep your taste buds awake for long. You should try this at home.

Ingredients

300 g noodles

1 pc ginger

2 pcs garlic

2 pcs carrot

1 pc onions

1 pc cabbage

1 tbsp white vinegar

1 tbsp honey

5 tbsp dark soy sauce

2 tbsp canola oil

1 pc lemon

300 g boneless chicken

1 tsp hot chilli sauce

Method

Start by grating the ginger and garlic. Dice the onions and cabbage then set aside.

In a bowl, mix the vinegar, soy sauce, honey, 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, 2 tablespoons of grated garlic, 1 tablespoon of oil and the chicken. Leave to marinate for about 15 minutes.

Use a vegetable peeler to create ribbons from the carrot to fill one cup and set aside. Allow the noodles to sit in hot water for about 2 minutes then drain and set aside.

Put 1 tablespoon of oil in the sauce pan, remove the chicken from the marinade and fry for about 2 minutes and remove from the hot oil.

Add 1 cup of diced onions and 1 cup of diced cabbage to the hot oil and stir fry for 30 minutes. Add ¼ cup of water, scraping off the bits from the fried chicken. Add the drained noodles, chicken and reserved marinade to the sauce pan and stir thoroughly, allow to simmer until the noodles is cooked.

Serve with slices of lemon.

4 Champagne & Strawberry Ice Cubes

When you want your champagne fruity, this strawberry ice cubes will do it! We added strawberry ice cubes to give it that fruity blend. This drink is classy and will definitely make your event stand out. So get started and experience ice cubes differently.

Ingredients

1 litre champagne

6 pcs strawberry

Method

Dice the strawberries and put in any ice cube tray of your choice.

Sprinkle the diced strawberries with champagne and allow to freeze for about 4 hours or until solid enough to remove from the tray.

Add desired number of strawberry ice cubes to a glass of champagne.

Serve with cold whole strawberry
