Texas Church Shooting USA – I woke up this morning to the news of a man, identified as 26-year-old, who walked into a church in Texas on Sunday night and shot sporadically into the congregation, killing 26 people and injuring others. The incident which occurred at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, had the gunman shooting for more than 30 minutes.
What a world we find ourselves in!
See the video of the Texas Shooting USA as shared by CNN here:
As we speak, information on the number of death is still being determined as 26 deaths are confirmed already. One of the victims of the shootout was the 14 year old daughter of the church’s pastor.
The suspect has been identified as a short white male who was dressed in all black, including a ballistic vest, left his vehicle, crossed the street and began to fire using a Ruger AR assault-type rifle, at the church. He entered into the church and then continued firing.
He was later found dead in his car after engaging in a gun battle with a local resident who grabbed his gun and pursued the suspect.
The worst part of this whole shooting scenario was the fact that it happened in a sacred place of worship; Church. Remember the Ozubulu shooting massacre that happened sometimes ago in Anambra State, and now this shooting in the USA again.
What is happening in our world now? Why the sudden disregard for lives and properties, and the intentional killing happening everywhere.
My heart goes out to the people of First Baptist Church, Baptist Church Worldwide and United States at this sad time. I am sure God has a plan for everyone and it is time everyone becomes more security and environmental conscious.
In fact anytime I hear about shooters entering into churches and opening fire, it send shivers down my spine.
Is something wrong with the people of this world at this time? God help us!
