Whether you are traveling for business purpose, or embarking on a relaxing vacation, there are certain travel gadgets that you cannot do without. Apart from making your trip more enjoyable, these gadgets are daily essentials for everyone alike, irrespective of what they do. These gadgets can be used as a source of entertainment, a journal, work books, and even tour guides. Some of the most innovative technology to the suitcase or bag include:

1 A smart phone

There are so many reasons to take a smart phone with you while going on a business trip. For travelers going on a vacation, a smart phone might even be the only device they need. There are several pros of taking a smart phone with you. Some of them include; a smart phone can take the place of multiple devices such as music player, calculator, flashlight, map, and even an alarm clock. Also, you can connect to the internet effortlessly even if you are not using cellular data. Most luxury hotels in Lagos, such as Federal Palace Hotel & Casino, provide free internet for travelers. As such, you might not have to bring your personal internet modem along.

2 A tablet/an iPad

A tablet or iPad is an important gadget to take with you on a business trip. Apart from helping you to keep tabs on happenings around the world, its wide screen can come in handy when you have some business documents to peruse. Because it is lighter than a computer, it can fit into a small knapsack bag and can be carried everywhere. Unlike a laptop which you require more energy to carry because of its weight. Also, all the apps on a tablet or an iPad work faster than those on a smart phone. The battery usually lasts longer than that of a smart phone, as such a tablet or an iPad might be a better travel gadget to take with you than the smart phone. Although there are no standard calling tools on the device, Whatsapp voice call, Skype and Google Call are good replacements. However, the downside of this is that you need to be connected to a steady internet source.

3 Laptop

If you are traveling on business or you have to work remotely during your trip, a laptop is the perfect travel gadget to take with you. Although it might be quite heavy, depending on your laptop size, you can hardly ever do without it. One of the advantages of a laptop is versatility. There are different software to do almost everything a traveler could need. Laptops are also much more powerful than a tablet and smart phone combined together. Its larger screen and proper keyboard makes getting things done much more easier and faster. Despite having many pros, taking your laptop with you while traveling has some cons that are worth considering. They include; laptops are very fragile – the last thing you want to do is carry your laptop in a backpack while climbing a rocky terrain, because you might trip and fall with your laptop hitting a hard surface. Hence, laptops are perfect for travelers that own blogs, run online businesses or work remotely. However, if you don’t belong to any of this category, it is better you do not take your laptop along with you when traveling.

4 Computer Accessories

Some computer accessories can come in handy on a number of occasions while traveling. These computer accessories include a USB flash drive for transferring files from one device to another, portable internet, in case your hotel accommodation does not provide Wi-Fi internet. Although most hotels in Lagos ensure that every room is provided with good internet connection. Another important computer accessory to always travel with is a head phone. Its importance cannot be overemphasized.  It can come in handy when you want to listen to audio files without disturbing the person sitting next to you. Ensure to also take a universal plug adapter with you while traveling. It will come in handy when you want to charge all your devices at once.
