DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: WIFE BEATERS ARE JUST ANIMALS

The internet has been rife with issues based on domestic violence and the issues of husband beating their wives to the extent that the wives are beaten to death.

Just going through Nairaland now and I saw the case of a Ronke Shonde whose husband actually beat her to death and thereafter ran away from home. Oh My God!

I am sure this is not the first case of domestic violence as I have seen on the Punch and some other dailies and indeed won’t be the last.

It is extremely appalling to hear a case of a man laying hands on his wife, this in fact has been on the rise in the past one year.

Wait a minute, I want to believe we men were not born monsters. We are created in God’s image.

how come some men suddenly grew to be wife beaters, how did they develop utter disrespect and have grown to take undue advantage of women. What could be the cause? Is it psychological, spiritual or just total disrespect for womanhood?

Part of the gift God gave to us is the ability to cope with a lot of anomalies of women. To be honest with you and I mean no disrespect to women. Women could be the most annoying set of individuals to grace the face of the earth, but men have been wired to deal with these anomalies. What could she have done to warrant being beat to death. Your wife is your other half, your sister and best friend. Why will you lay your hands on her? Bad!

I feel pained, disgusted and extremely appalled to hear of this and I sincerely grant her family the fortitude to bear the loss.

To all of you who continue to beat your wives because you deem them to be weaker vessels and believe that beating your other half is a better way to gain superiority and claim dominance at home, I say SHAME to you. You are indeed a disgrace to manhood.

Does your religion, your decency or even your sense of reasoning preach manhandling a lady? What if you were the one physically abused by your mate outside your home. Would you have enjoyed it?

You know the funny thing about men like this, from what I have observed, they flex muscles at home while they can not even stand their peers in public. Cowards!

I hope he is caught and first a dose of the beating he meted on his wife before being made to face the full wrath of the law as due men who perpetrate such evil.
