Dee’s Inbox: My Father’s Boss Wants to Sleep With Me

I am dire need of your help, my father’s boss wants to sleep with me.

I am 22 years old, an undergraduate and the first child of my father who got a job in this company 6 months ago. Prior to when he got the job, he had to struggle looking for job for 6 years having lost his job when he was retrenched at a bank where he worked as a Manager.

Getting a new job was quite difficult for a man his age and experience, and my mother had to foot most of the bills of the house for 6 years while he continued looking for work.

We were therefore grateful when he got this job with this new textile company. Two months ago, the company celebrated 30 years in Nigeria and we were all at the celebration party somewhere on the island in Lagos, and that was when I met the MD; a50 year old man who immediately said he liked me because I look like my father.

At first I thought it was a friendly gesture when he requested for my number during the dance, and I gave it to him because I saw no reason not to. Then he started asking me out on a date.

This is a man whose first child was my age mate and I was shocked when he asked me out, I told him I won’t be able to go out on a date with him but he insisted, yet I rejected the date.

I thought he was going to stop, but that was the beginning of the whole wahala. He started sending private messages to me, telling me how he wants to get down with me, how his wife will never satisfy him and how he is into young girls. At some point in school, when my father was on leave, he told me to come to his office to get some office documents for my dad and almost raped me.

Now he is threatening to sack my father if I don’t sleep with him. I am at a loss now and I don’t know what else to do. Getting the job for my dad was difficult and I knew what he went through to get the job, I don’t know what to do right now.

Should I go ahead and tell my dad or I should just sleep with him so that my dad can keep his job, and we live happy?
