From meeting in a Whatsapp group to conversing maturely and eventually finding love over social media. The story of Jephtah and Oluyemisi is one that will evoke passion, love and emotions as you read through.
The two love birds never really thought they were made for each other until they started out talking on Whatsapp. Before you know it? Love took over, in Kelly Rowland’s voice:
When love takes over Yeah You know you can't deny When love takes over Yeah 'Cause Something's here tonight
Jephtah had this story to share about meeting Oluyemisi, and eventually falling in LOVE:
We met on a Whatsapp group, we became friends and the rest they say is history. I saw her as a quintessential woman and I admired her. Although I never thought of a relationship with her initially.
Our love emanated from the quality of conversation and genuine information we shared which unconsciously birthed a feeling of love.
Oluyemisi is God-fearing, friendly, intelligent and highly considerate. We have our issues no doubt! It was not rosy as a lot of people would think!
Issues are inevitable because we are two imperfect beings from different backgrounds. So, we agreed not to carry over unsettled issues till the next day and it’s been working for us.
I love everything about her surprisingly! From having her around me to the fact the she loves me to a fault to her “ijogbon”. I proposed to her when I was sure she is the perfect answer to my prayers on the kind of woman I desire. This was 6 months after we started dating.
On how he proposed to Oluyemisi:
If this means the kneeling and asking the “will you marry me” question, I did not do so. But I declared my intention from the very beginning and she keyed into it.
What love means to Jephtah:
Love is that condition in which the happiness of your spouse/partner is essential to your own. Love is understanding.
To budding relationships, Jephtah had this to say:
Go for what rocks your boat as no two relationships are alike. Social media standards are most times outrageous and unrealistic. Set your own standards and review it when necessary.
Oluyemisi came into the picture and she had this to share as well:
We met on a Whatsapp group, we became friends and you know the rest already. My first impression of Jeph is that he’s very intelligent and confident. Jephtah is easy going, intelligent and peace loving.
We started the relationship in June and it was really easy for us to understand each other because we were already friends and there was no need to wait or do shakara
Issues are inevitable because we are two imperfect beings from different backgrounds. So, we agreed not to carry over unsettled issues till the next day and it’s been working for us. Jeph is my best friend and seeing him alone brightens my mood. We dated for 6 months.
On proposal:
There was no “proposal”, we both don’t see the need for that. I got a ring though.
Speaking on Love, Oluyemisi had this to share:
Love is the act of caring and giving of oneself to someone else without holding back.
On budding relationship Oluyemisi stated that:
Go for what rocks your boat as no two relationships are alike. Social media standards are most times outrageous and unrealistic. Set your own standards and review it when necessary.
A beautiful love story it is. On behalf of the Dee Weddings Team, Congratulations on your togetherness and may God lay his hands of blessings on your home. We dedicate this beautiful ‘David Guetha ft Kelly Rowland’s song WHEN LOVE TAKES OVER to your family.
