My husband and I have always been very good friends before marriage and we are still good friends.
You have to know that you are living for someone else in marriage so you cannot make selfish decisions. For example, if I need to make a selfish decision, I need to consult my husband because he’s the head of the family. Ultimately, I need to give him that respect because he has the final say.
Those were the words of Tiwa Savage about a week ago. Some men may hold grudges against their wives after reading those words of Tiwa Salvage on page 32 & 33 of the Punch newspaper on 23rd of April 2016. They may say to their wives “can’t you see the way Tiwa Savage shows love and respect to her husband despite how successful and sexy she is? You will just sit down there with your big tummy cooking useless Egusi soup”LMAO!
Tiwa’s projection of her loving and fulfilling marriage might depress the likes of other celelbrities. They may start to think “so it’s even possible for a woman to have money and fame and still have a fulfilling marriage, maybe I’m too proud, or I’m not good enough… Lord please let a man like Tee Billz cross my way, tall, dark and handsome (TDH like ladies call it) and also caring, in Jesus name I pray, amen” lol
I’m not trying to poke pun at Tiwa and Tee Billz, I feel their pain, I never wish they had issues, even at times I do wish I grow to have their type of marriage, Husband being the manager of a talented singer wife…… You know now, money, fame, love and a bouncing baby boy, what more can I wish?
Despite the larger than life lifestyle our celebrities’ lives, their problem is that they always sacrifice their private life on the altar of fame, in effect, they always bring their private issue to the court of public, and this has always proven to worsen the situation, the little problem will be exaggerated by people making the celeb involved often than not make a bad judgement.
My question is this. Why can’t Tee Billz challenge his wife of infidelity in private instead of ranting on Instagram? Why can’t Tiwa cry to prove her innocence to her husband in their bedroom instead of shedding tears in front of camera? Do they prefer public sympathy to their marriage? Have they forgotten people will try to complicate the situation by making (a) mountain out of a mole (h)ill?
But wait o, these questions still lingering my mind. Could it be Tee Billz is just being insecure because of his wife’s status? Is he actually a drug peddler as claimed by his wife? (don’t tell NDLEA o), is he actually abusive? Or maybe Tiwa is actually an infidel, maybe she’s too oblivious of her marital duties, could it be true Tiwa’s mum is actually a witch tapping Tee Billz “aisiki” to fuel her daughter’s career? Or they are not just compatible, maybe they never loved themselves… No one knows for sure.
Finally, my advice to all women and men who wish to have a successful career and at the same time a fulfilling marital life. Women should understand never to threaten their husbands’ ego with their success by reassuring him of her commitment to their marriage by their words and deeds.
To the men, youu should never feel intimidated by your wife’s progress, it takes real maturity and understanding. Remember you don’t need to have all the money in the house to be the head of the family.
At least people like Okonjo – Iweala, Joke Silva, even the late Dora Akunyili all have good homes. I knew it wouldn’t be an easy task being a celebrity and still have a happy home. Remember, if these woman could do it, then you can too. Think for yourself.
