In The next 6 months, we will be in the year 2020 wow!!! Do you know you can still achieve your dreams and goals for 2019?
These are things you need to do
I will be using a SOSTAC model by P.R Smith to teach.
1. Situation analysis
Evaluate your last 6 months and you need to be honest with yourself if you are really making progress in all areas of your life.
If things are not working according to plan, you need to know why they are not working.
If you are always broke, you need to find out why?
If you are not making a profit in your business you also need to know why?
You have tried to be in a relationship that will lead to marriage but all efforts to make that work did not go well. It is time to sit down and ask quality questions.
The Parable of the Lost Son
There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate. So he divided his property between them. Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
THE TRUTH
You see most time it is not the devil that is hindering us from achieving our goals in life. For many people, it is lack of right information, wrong association and wrong decisions.
You need to evaluate your last six months and ask yourself if you are really making progress.
You need to know your present situation and know why you are there. If you don’t know where you are now it will be difficult for you to move forward.
2. Objective
After evaluating all the situations around you and you are willing to make the necessary changes, you need to set a new goal for the next 6 months.
If you are always broke, you need to seek knowledge and set a new vision on how to increase your income.
If you are always in debt, you need to get a job or start a business and set a goal on how to pay your debts and be financially stable.
If your business is not doing well, you need to seek right information and set a new vision on how to improve your business performance and profits.
I shared a story about the lost prodigal son yesterday, and I will love to continue the story.
This young man requested for his share of his father inheritance even when the father was alive; that was a wrong decision. He wasted all that was given to him by his father.
But Something happened.
When he came to his senses, he said, “how many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.” So he got up and went to his father
For things to change for many people in the next 6 months, many people need to come to their senses.
A lot of people have made some stupid and bad decisions about their lives, relationship, career, finance and business in the last six months that are affecting them badly.
You need to come to your senses then set a new goal on how to become better with your life, career and business in the next 6 months.
In setting the new goal, you need to use SMART Principles.
Make your goal
1. Specific
2. Measurable
3. Achievable
4. Relevant and
5. Time Bound.3. Strategy
It is an overview of how to achieve the objectives (how do you get there?). Strategy is a plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim. It is a method or plan chosen to bring about a desired future, such as achievement of a goal or solution to a problem.
If your plan is to start or grow your business in the next 6 months you need to develop a strategy on how to achieve it.
If your plan is to be financially stable in the next 6 months, you also need to develop a strategy on how to achieve that.
4. Tactics
Tactics are the details of strategy. Tactic is an action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end.
Strategy and tactics are both how you will achieve your goals and objectives. A strategy is our path or bridge for going from where we are today to our goal. It’s our general resource allocation plan. It might be to engage industry thought-leaders to become advocates for our product. The tactics then are how specifically or tangibly we will do that. They might include items such as direct marketing, letters, face-to-face meetings, special promotion and so on.
5. Action
This is how you ensure excellent execution of the plan. For things to change in your life in the next 6 months you must take the right steps.
6. Control
You need to put a measure in place to know whether you are getting there or making progress (what do you monitor?). Don’t assume you are making progress, put a measure in place to ensure you are achieving your goal.
With these few points I have dished out, if well implemented, you will see great results in your life and business in the next 6 months.
