Happy democracy day messages and happy democracy day quotes

We need to analyze the days of our future past and see how we can see ourselves through a better future. Our past has become so huge that It has overwhelmed our future. We need to head back to the drawing board and see how we can make Nigeria great again. Happy democracy day.

Thank God it is another democracy day. A day we need to mentally and physically access our leader and place them on the template where they said they would be from the first initial campaign days. We need to ask them questions on whether they have delivered on their promises. Happy democracy day to you.

Who says we don’t have any reason to be thankful. For us to be alive to witness another day where we quietly transitioned from the military oppression to civilian freedom. Let us ask ourselves though, have we really transitioned? Has Nigeria fared any better?

Lo and behold, it is another democracy day. A day where we need to ask various questions of ourselves, and pray for continued forward movement of the country. Truth is, the problem of the country right now is beyond us. We need to put everything with God and pray that he saves us when the need arises.

We should not just sit and talk all over the media without taking proper and effective action. We should put the laws as stated by the Nigerian constitution into our hands and ask serious national questions of our leaders. Enough of the bickering and sycophancy. We need to know the place of the Nigeria youths in the Nigerian polity. Happy Democracy day.

We have always said that the Nigerian youth are the leaders of tomorrow right? Tomorrow is here now, are we still leaders? We have left the remains of the Nation we call Nigeria into the hands of our grandfathers and as such we should not be shocked of what will become of our country. Yes, we say we need transformation, but have we really and truly asked ourselves whether these political elites have transformed our country? If we keep voting our grandfathers into power, there is simply little or no hope for us to move forward as a nation. The Nigerian youth must take its place. We must take our position in driving this Nation forward.

Who says the Nigerian youth cannot hold powerful political positions, ho says we cannot make delicate political decisions? Who says we cannot probe those that have misappropriated the wealth of our nation? The choice is in our hands, we need to take mantle of leadership and ensure freedom of whatever it is that makes us Nigerian. We need to take our place in the Nigerian political terrain. Happy democracy day!

The democracy day is here. The day where we get to ask questions and seek clarifications from our leaders. The day where we would have to look inwardly to ourselves and see how can make better the future of this country. It is the democracy day for all of us. Happy democracy day people.

We should never forget that we are truly the government, and not the powers that we have voted for. The rulers of a nation are o not really the councilors, chairmen, senators, or the president. We are the rulers of the country, we are the rulers of Nigeria. Happy democracy day.

If we want peace, then we must begin to search our inner minds. We must not discriminate one another. Be it the ethnic, religion or political affiliation. We must learn the spirit of accommodation and that is the foundation of a properly structured society. If we crave for a democratic society, then democracy must start with us.

Our political democracy will not stay for long if we lack the basics of social democracy. We must recognize the freedom of will of the Nigerian populace. We must also recognize right, fairness and networking of the Nigerian people. These are the basics we need to have a truly democratic system of government. Happy democracy day.

Remember change does not come to us simply because we crave for change. Changes emanates from fear and pain. Fear in the sense that our political elites are very aware of the consequences of corruption and pain in the sense that justice is served from a top-down approach. All fingers should be treated equally. That is how change can be sustainable. Happy democracy day.

We should pray for fairness, objectivity and moral uprightness from our politicians. We should not be manipulated into believing that things are done to help the populace, rather than just perpetrating mediocre projects to deceive the people. Politicians should hold their political offices with clean hands and perform up to standards expected of them by the people, this is the essence of true democracy.

Do you know that in theory democracy is actually beautiful, we say the heavens and take the earth up with our mouths, and when it comes to practice, democracy is nothing but a mirage and delusion.

Politics is not just all about leaving the power to the elected, but it is about the ‘power of the voters’ coming together to form ‘the people’. Politics is all about the people demanding for accountability from the government because they are expected to be accountable to us. Happy democracy day!

To survive as a true democrat, integrity should be your watchword. Deception is the poison that kills all element of democracy. Happy democracy day.

In a true democratic state, fairness and duty of care should be the overriding objecting of the elected. In Nigeria, however, the reverse is the case. All that is done by the minority, the elected people is that they use the position of power to oppress the majority, ‘the voters’. How did we even get here? Happy democracy day!

Sometimes I feel like it is even better to have a benevolent dictator than an unreasonable democracy. Happy democracy day!

Democracy us just not about talk and talk. Democracy is the collective effort of both the elected and the populace to make a nation work. Democracy is the coming together of all of us to make Nigeria work. Happy democracy day.

Our leaders really need to go back to the drawing board and learn what democracy means. Happy democracy day!
